What is Saible?

Saible is a payment system that makes sure everyone gets paid properly on construction jobs. It works for everyone involved - from the people funding the project to the workers doing the job.

Each project has its own bank account.
Everyone on the project gets paid directly from this account using Saible.

How does Saible work?

You'll still agree on payments the same way you do now:

Agree on how much you should be paid. Get your payment certificate and create your invoice. Nothing changes about this part.

The project funders put money into the project's bank account. This money is protected by law - it can only be used to pay people working on this specific project.

How do we pay and get paid?

When it's time for payment, the Project Owner opens up Saible for payments.

You put in four numbers from your paperwork:

1. Gross amount from your payment certificate

2. Any reverse charge VAT

3. Any PAYE under the Construction Industry Scheme

4. Any retentions

You'll do this for each job you need to be paid for. You also confirm what you owe to others. Then Saible pays everyone in parallel, at the same time - no waiting for money to pass through different companies.

Who’s paying for all this Saible goodness?

Good news - you don't pay anything to use Saible. The Project Owner (usually the main client) pays for it.
